Cooling tanks are widely used for low temperature fermentation, low temperature storage, long-term aging, carbonation, and other processes used to make beer, sake, wine and shochu (a distilled spirit)
The versatile cooling tank is a hermetic all stainless steel tank for low pressure applications. It’s widely used for low temperature fermentation, low temperature storage, long-term aging, carbonation, and other processes used to make beer, sake, wine and shochu. It’s perfect for fermentation and storage at low temperatures.
Brine and tank temperatures are controlled separately to avoid overcooling and prevent freezing.
The tank controls temperatures to within ±1°C and gives temperature readings to the first decimal place, based on data from the resistance temperature detector and temperature indicator controller, making it easy to quickly set the desired temperature.
The tank incorporates a refrigerator into a single unit. Even when several tanks are used, the temperature of each tank is selected separately, making it ideal for high-mix/low-volume production.
Incorporates a compact refrigerator featuring low power consumption. Controls are based on fuzzy logic, and the refrigerator runs only when necessary to minimize operating costs.
The tank consists of three layers: an inner surface, a cooling jacket, and an outer insulator. The clean welded structure is made entirely of stainless steel for applications where hygiene is critical. Both the inner and outer surfaces can be washed with water.

The tank is subjected to a trial run at our factory before shipping and ready to use as soon as it’s installed.
Nippon Kyohan provides products that meet various needs of customers, such as tanks equipped with a nozzle, manhole, or other component.
The cooling brine circulates in the jacket outside the tank. The tank interior is free of protrusions for easy cleaning and maintenance and to help prevent bacterial contamination.
The tank features castors and is easily moved. Installation requires no special conditions. Anywhere there’s an outlet, simply plug it in and run.
Ozone depleting Freon gas (HCFC) is to be phased out by 2020. Nippon Kyohan is already using new refrigerant gas with an ozone depletion potential of 0 as part of efforts to make products friendly for both the planet and for humans.
